Hridesh Rajan

Dr. Hridesh Rajan is a Professor of Computer Science, and is also Professor-in-Charge of Data Science at Iowa State University, where he has been since August 2005. He received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Virginia in 2005 under supervision of Kevin Sullivan. He received his undergraduate degree from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (IT-BHU) in 2000. Before his graduate studies at UVA, he worked for Lucent Technologies, India (Bell Labs, India) as a Member of Technical Staff. Professor Rajan's research interests include: Data Science, Big Data Analytics, Cyberinfrastructure for Big Data, Specification and Verification of Data-intensive Programs, Dependable Data Science, Fairness Trustworthiness and Accountability of Machine Learning. Professor Rajan is a recipient of the National Science Foundation CAREER award in 2009,  LAS Award for Early Achievement in Research in 2010, a Big-12 Fellowship in 2012. Prof. Rajan is a senior member of the ACM.
